Job Summary: Financial Manager

The Financial Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial functions of our organization. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

  • Lead the Finance Support team to achieve department goals and objectives
  • Manage vendor payments and ensure timely processing of invoices
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial reports, including budget, taxes, and bank statement reconciliations
  • Implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency
  • Prepare and verify commission reports
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to the growth and success of the organization

Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes:

Accounting Administration & Supervision: 100% of the Job

  • Collaborate with the Controller to ensure daily finance tasks are completed and Quarterly Goals/Rocks are met
  • Provide direct supervision to the Finance Support team, ensuring department goals are met
  • Assign Quarterly Goals/Rocks to the Finance Support team, aligning with Company and department goals
  • Measure, track, and report weekly KPIs for the department
  • Manage the Annual Audit, provide accurate documentation, and implement corrective actions
  • Execute end of month processes, including various journal entries and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain the subsidiary ledgers for all balance sheet accounts
  • Manage and analyze select accounts to ensure alignment to asset management, invoicing, and revenues
  • Prepare weekly financial reports, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Process and verify the accuracy of semi-monthly Commission worksheets
  • Reconcile insurance premiums to the semi-monthly withholding for accuracy
  • Process New Customer Applications and credit reports as needed
  • Take an active role during escalations with the Collections process
  • Process payments of all invoices, ensuring vendors are paid in accordance with their terms
  • Makes bank deposits

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; may consider an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Experience: 3+ years of accounting management and Supervisory experience

Functional Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting/financial processes (A/P, A/R, Invoicing, Month End processing). Strong analytical skills, with the ability to research and review data. This includes analyzing inventory, expenses, and revenue against business goals. Good problem-solving capabilities and reporting/summation skills are also required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy along with excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills are also important for this role. Working Knowledge of GAAP

Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong Excel and Word skills, and solid familiarity with ERP systems, query tools and report writing are required. Experience with MS Dynamics/Great Plains and ConnectWise a plus. Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills

Leadership/Behaviors: Supportive, able to work independently, yet collaborative with an excellent ability to provide day to day direction, leadership, mentoring and training of the Finance team. Strong internal and external customer focus and compliance orientation are also important for this role.
