The University Medical Center of El Paso seeks a highly skilled and experienced Physician Leader to join our team. As a Neurosurgery Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our medical team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the medical and health affairs of our clinics, ensuring the delivery of primary and preventive health services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical staff, non-clinical staff, patients, and community organizations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to our medical team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical analysis, performance improvement, and outcomes, and communicate complex medical issues effectively.
- Develop and maintain trust and respect from internal and external constituencies through strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
Requirements:
- 10 years of related experience providing primary care services, clinic medical management, healthcare administration, or other related services with interaction/exposure in a clinical environment.
- 5 years of previous management/administrative experience, including private practice, chief medical officer, medical director, chief of staff, or equivalent.
- Board certification in a clinical specialty and a Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD).
- Ability to meet Medical Staff credentialing requirements.
- Advanced management degree (MBA, MHA, MPA, etc.) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work in healthcare arena, including non-profit, teaching, hospital system, clinical, private healthcare organization, or medical services organization.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
