Human Resources and Accounting Specialist

Overview
Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Human Resources and Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our office team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our human resources and accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Human Resources:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to support the growth and development of our team members.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Develop and maintain protocol and timeline for new hires, ensuring a seamless onboarding process.
- Partner in the recruitment and selection process for employment based on staffing needs.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high-performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.
- Ensure legal compliance with all policies and regulations, including but not limited to, accounting, confidentiality, unemployment claims, worker's compensation, and leave of absence throughout human resource management.
- Accounting:
- Process payroll, donations, and deposits in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain all Accounting, Human Resource records, invoices, and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Receive all clinical admission forms, distribute copies to appropriate personnel, and incorporate originals in the open chart.
- Maintain all medical records in the designated areas according to agency policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Human Resources.
- 1 year of experience in HR metrics and employee relations.
- 1 year of experience in Payroll.
- 1 year of Medical Records experience.
- Basic knowledge of Accounting systems, including Excel.
- Working knowledge of clinical software and electronic clinical record utilization.
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and navigate complex relationships within an organizational ecosystem.
- Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to safely and personally operate a vehicle.
