Position Summary
Momentum Academy STL is a dynamic PreK-8 charter school network dedicated to fostering a vibrant educational community. Our mission is rooted in three foundational pillars: character, confidence, and community, which are integral to our vision and the experiences of our students and families. We are in search of a forward-thinking, collaborative, and results-driven leader to take on the role of Chief Educational Officer. This individual will serve as the primary educational leader across our multiple campuses, championing the success of every student and empowering staff to excel.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Educational Officer will:
- Lead and inspire a network of schools, ensuring alignment with our mission and educational goals.
- Work closely with the school board, faculty, families, and students to implement our vision of academic excellence.
- Foster a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
- Utilize data-driven strategies to enhance instructional outcomes and support diverse learning needs.
- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive strategic plans aimed at achieving measurable academic results.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
● Master’s degree in education, with a focus on curriculum development and instructional leadership preferred.
● Doctorate in educational administration is a plus.
Certification:
● Preferred eligibility for Missouri principal certification.
Professional Experience:
● At least five years of proven leadership experience in educational settings, preferably at the district or central office level.
● Demonstrated success in implementing strategic initiatives focused on academic performance.
Skills and Competencies
● Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity in education.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders.
● Proven track record of collaborative leadership and community building.
Essential Functions
The Chief Educational Officer will:
- Provide strategic direction for educational practices across all campuses.
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to refine and enhance Momentum's educational framework.
- Engage with families and community members to foster a supportive educational environment.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
