Job Description:The Department of Medicine at MSK is seeking a full-time Academic Clinician at the Instructor level or higher to join the Infectious Disease Service. The successful candidate will practice infectious diseases within the setting of a major cancer center, with a special emphasis on infectious complications associated with cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities:- Clinically evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of infectious syndromes and mimics on the inpatient and outpatient clinical service.
- Manage and prevent infectious syndromes related to cancer and oncologic treatments in the outpatient clinical setting.
- Contribute to the teaching and research missions, including supervising Infectious Disease fellows, medical residents, medical students, and advance practice providers.
- Participate in educational activities and serve on institutional and service committees.
- MD., D.O., or equivalent with excellent clinical, communication, and team skills.
- Board eligible or board certified in Infectious Diseases.
- New York and New Jersey State license eligible.
- Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Child Abuse Identification & Reporting.
