We invite you to explore our Registered Nurse position in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
Deliver direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act, focusing on patients undergoing invasive, diagnostic, and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct invasive electrophysiologic monitoring.
- Manage high-risk intravenous therapies.
- Assess respiratory status, including pulse oximetry.
- Utilize therapeutic communication in daily interactions.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment in the cardiovascular invasive lab.
- Implement and direct care using the nursing process, focusing on the needs of individual patients in the cardiovascular invasive lab.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, assisting them in making informed healthcare decisions.
- Delegate tasks to appropriate caregivers.
- Participate in Cardiovascular Department initiatives and process improvements.
- Foster a supportive environment.
- Supervise new staff, patient care assistants, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses, and/or nurse externs.
- Deliver high-quality care tailored to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as assigned.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience in Cath Lab and/or Critical Care preferred.
