Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in medical procedures and provide diagnostic support through organ or body imaging.
  • Prepare and position patients while accurately selecting anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Administer contrast media and medications in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any unusual findings.
  • Review and recommend updates to imaging protocols as necessary.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and procedures.
  • Perform specialized imaging tasks, including angiography and complex vascular procedures, while collaborating with the Radiologist or Physician Assistant.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • One or more of the following credentials is required:
    • Cardiographic Technician certification from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
    • Radiologic Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Illinois licensure.
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credential from CCI is preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma with 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience is required.
