Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diet Technician to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a Diet Technician, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition care to patients and residents in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
  • Work under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition care and education to patients and residents
  • Conduct resident interviews, data collection, and provide direction and education for dining services operations
  • Work effectively with others to ensure quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis
  • Act as a resource to the Director of Dining Services to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dining services department
Requirements
  • Minimum of an associate's degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited college or university and/or Certified Dietary Manager
  • 1-3 years of dietary experience in long-term care, either as a consultant or in a supervisory capacity
  • Ability to follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving
  • Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance
  • Dependable, with experience working in facilities utilizing quantity food production methods
  • Ability to read and accurately apply requirements of food tray cards
  • Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements and procedures
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel and the public
