We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centralized Services Technician to join our team at USM Technology. Key Responsibilities
  • Firewall Management and Security Reviews: Conduct regular security reviews, document response plans, and implement cybersecurity improvement projects based on findings.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks, improve operational efficiency, and ensure consistent deployment and management of RMM tools.
  • Backup Management: Verify successful backups, complete regular test restores, and ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Change Management: Implement and manage a Change Management System for critical systems, including network infrastructure, firewalls, servers, and Microsoft 365.
  • Security Assessments and Penetration Testing: Conduct regular penetration tests, document response plans, and implement cybersecurity tools to ensure comprehensive protection of client systems.
  • Patch Management: Implement a comprehensive patch management program, verify procedures, and ensure all systems are up to date.
  • Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Projects: Deploy and manage SASE solutions, PC Backup, and implement cybersecurity projects to improve client environments' overall security posture.
  • Network Monitoring and Administration: Monitor network performance, set up and maintain monitoring systems, suppress unnecessary alarms, and ensure only critical alerts are sent to the remediation team.
  • Process Improvement and Documentation: Identify opportunities for process improvement, maintain alignment with IT best practices, and ensure all processes are thoroughly documented and kept up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an MSP environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly using PowerShell.
  • Experience implementing and managing change management systems for critical IT infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including current versions.
  • Strong knowledge of firewall management, network security, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of RMM tools and consistent deployment practices.
  • Experience with managing alerts and ensuring only critical alarms are sent to the remediation team.
  • In-depth knowledge of patch management processes, including approval, deployment, and error remediation.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools deployment, monitoring, and threat remediation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure management.
  • Solid experience with backup processes, including deployment, monitoring, test restores, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Excellent communication and training skills for developing and delivering internal training programs.
  • Capacity planning and resource management skills.
  • Asset and vendor management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Business Premium or E5, and familiarity with Microsoft EM+S Suite.
