- Prepare patients for their appointments by completing the necessary pre-visit processes, including documenting the chief complaint, measuring vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and ensuring accurate medication reconciliation.
- Assist with in-office procedures such as blood draws, mental status evaluations, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer vaccinations and other injections as permitted by your scope of practice.
- Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical team to ensure effective delivery of care plans.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Experience: At least 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting. Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: Active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) is necessary. BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
LPN Qualifications: Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing required.
Licensure: Active LPN licensure is mandatory.
