Position Overview:

This role will focus on performing highway engineering design for our clientele, supporting projects in Kentucky and Florida.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design various types of highway, bridge, and traffic projects, including urban and rural roadways, interstates, interchanges, traffic management, transportation planning, highway safety, site planning, and ADA compliance projects.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop engineered solutions for clients.
  • Work on design for roadway projects, including interchanges, intersection improvements, roadway widening/capacity improvements, ADA, and pedestrian safety upgrades.
  • Utilize CAD design software such as ORD and Civil 3D for design and plan production.
  • Perform field visits for ongoing design projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in highway engineering in a professional setting.
  • Proficient in performing InRoads modeling, Openroads (ORD) modeling experience preferred.
  • Experience working with MicroStation, AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, KYTC or FDOT, MUTCD, and ADA regulations.
  • Strong oral and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • An attitude and commitment to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to analyze complex highway issues and prepare recommendations.
Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
