Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the functionality of machinery and equipment by executing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery, utilizing diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Identify issues by observing equipment in operation, listening for irregularities, and employing precision measuring instruments.
  • Dismantle devices to remove defective components using hoists, cranes, and hand tools, while assessing the condition of parts.
  • Inspect used parts to determine necessary dimensional adjustments using various measuring tools.
  • Adjust operational components and control instruments using hand tools and levels.
  • Minimize downtime by educating production staff on preventive maintenance practices and ensuring adherence.
  • Fabricate replacement parts utilizing machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Manage inventory of equipment and supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, and placing orders as necessary.
  • Optimize maintenance resources by judiciously using supplies to achieve job objectives.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance insights by addressing inquiries and requests.
  • Compile maintenance reports by gathering and analyzing data and trends.
  • Enhance technical knowledge through workshops and by reviewing industry publications.
  • Facilitate communication among work teams by documenting actions and ongoing needs.
  • Uphold a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Contribute to team success by achieving related objectives as required.
