LPN Resident Care Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a skilled LPN Resident Care Nurse to join our team at The AbbeWood. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee medication programs, ensuring accuracy and timely administration
  • Perform treatments as ordered by physicians, prioritizing resident comfort and well-being
  • Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and blood sugar levels
  • Chart resident information, updating physicians on any changes in condition
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity
  • Order and reorder medications as needed, collaborating with pharmacies
  • Respond promptly to resident requests, providing timely support and care
  • Provide report to staff, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care
  • Assist with training, supervision, and counseling of resident care team members
Requirements:
  • Active LPN license in good standing
  • One year of experience in senior services, with a focus on assisted living
  • CPR certification, with ongoing maintenance
  • First Aid certification, as required by state
  • Expert knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
  • Ability to make independent decisions, prioritizing resident care
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in assisted living
