Job Overview

Position: Certified Nursing Assistant

Work Environment:

· Full-time position within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications:

· Education: Successful completion of a recognized nursing assistant training program.

· Certification: Must hold an active certification or registration as a nursing assistant.

· Cardiac Certifications: Required to possess hands-on certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, specifically:

o Basic Life Support (BLS)

· Experience: A minimum of 24 months of relevant experience within the past 36 months.

· Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

· Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

· Physical Requirements: Must be capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods and performing all required duties.

Key Responsibilities:

· Gather, organize, document, and relay pertinent data related to medical and behavioral health assessments.

· Identify medical issues that require attention and promptly inform the nursing staff.

· Evaluate the physical and psychosocial health status of patients and their families, utilizing knowledge of developmental patterns and health conditions.

· Recognize the intended effects, potential side effects, and complications associated with medications.

· Maintain emotional composure, patience, and reliability while delivering urgent care in high-pressure situations.

· Provide counseling, guidance, and health education to individuals and families to promote disease prevention and overall well-being.

Work Schedule:

· Shifts available: Monday through Friday, with options for day, evening, and night shifts.

Essential Skills:

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with flexibility to adjust priorities on short notice. Strong teamwork and time management skills are essential. Must be capable of meeting deadlines in a high-pressure setting and demonstrate a willingness to adapt to change.
