Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome patients and visitors, addressing routine inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
  2. Manage patient registration by gathering demographic and insurance information, verifying coverage, and processing co-payments and other payments.
  3. Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling new visits and managing cancellations or rescheduling requests.
  4. Provide clear and accurate information regarding appointment preparations, including arrival times and directions.
  5. Update patient records with any changes in insurance or financial responsibilities, ensuring communication with patients as necessary.
  6. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient information, applying knowledge of insurance requirements.
  7. Identify and report any registration issues to the appropriate departments for resolution.
  8. Monitor patient flow to enhance efficiency and ensure courteous service.
  9. Assist patients with various needs, such as arranging transportation or providing directions.
  10. Conduct visit closure activities, including checking out patients, scheduling follow-up appointments, and delivering visit summaries.
  11. Handle patient information and documentation as required.

Work Schedule:

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with specific shifts outlined by the department.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient in computer usage, including Microsoft Office and email applications.
