Community Engagement Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Director to join our team at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of volunteer management or event planning experience and a passion for engaging volunteers in our mission.

About the Role

This is a full-time, exempt position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and a commitment to building relationships with volunteers, campus chapters, colleagues, donors, and families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to significantly increase volunteer participation in support of our mission and strategic plan. This includes supervising the Volunteer Coordinator, interns, and volunteers, as well as recruiting and training volunteer leaders, AmeriCorps teams, and committee members to assist in event production and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a strategic plan for volunteer engagement that directly feeds into HFHGC's overall strategic plan goals.
  • Develop stewardship, recognition, retention, and evaluation strategies to sustain a growing portfolio of active volunteers that support Habitat's need for volunteers in home building, repairs, ReStore, Rock-The-Block, office, and other programs.
  • Coordinate scheduling and work closely with all appropriate staff members to ensure partners are informed about volunteer opportunities and enjoy their on-site experience.
  • Continuously monitor, follow up, and seek feedback and evaluation from volunteers, staff, and partners.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of volunteer management or event planning experience or other relevant experience preferred.
  • Management experience required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, current car insurance, and a good driving record.
  • Proficient with both computer and the internet. Volunteer database and CRM experience preferred.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
