Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Soliant. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping students develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to identify areas of need.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs, in collaboration with educators and other specialists.
  • Therapeutic Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups, to support their educational goals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and provide support to students and staff.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' progress and needs to ensure comprehensive support.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
