Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient intake and preparation for examination and treatment.

  • Administer injections, apply dressings, and facilitate simple wound management under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
  • Collect and prepare blood samples and specimens for laboratory analysis, maintaining the highest level of patient care and comfort.
  • Document new prescriptions and refills, as well as complete pre-authorizations for medications and procedures as needed.
  • Coordinate lab and radiology ordering, ensuring efficient patient care and communication with clinicians.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and patient advocacy, ensuring patients are thoroughly educated and guided throughout their visit.
  • Coordinate patient handoffs, adhering to documented workflows for accurate and efficient patient discharge.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, stocking exam rooms and monitoring equipment.
Qualifications
  • Current MA/BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a medical office setting as a medical assistant.
  • Phlebotomy experience required, minimum of one-year experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or considerable prior coursework in medical assisting.
  • Proficiency in Epic EHR.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records, supply management, and infection control.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting clinical staff to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and organized individual capable of working independently and as part of a team.
