Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide patient care and support to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments, identify patient needs, and develop plans to meet those needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nurses.
  • At least one year of LPN experience preferred.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.
  • Must meet unit-specific certification as required.
Working Conditions

Works in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and multiple crisis situations. May be exposed to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, requiring the observation of Standard (Universal) Precautions and safe handling practices.

Physical Requirements

Standing, sitting, bending, and walking required for extended periods. Involves heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Requires appropriate listening and speaking skills to converse with patients, staff, visitors, and physicians.
