Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician I serves as a vital member of the healthcare team at Novant Health, collaborating with other team members to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications
  • Maintains accurate records and inventory of medications
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • One year of relevant experience preferred; experience included in schooling for Associate's Degree in Pharm Tech
  • Current registry with applicable State Board(s) of Pharmacy required within 90 days of hire
  • PTCB or NHA Certification or proof of enrollment in pharmacy school/FPGEE/FPGEC required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Considerable knowledge of medication names, routes of administration, and adverse effects
  • Ability to demonstrate patient interview skills and strong written and communication skills with other healthcare professionals
