Key Responsibilities

As a Telecommunications Line Technician, your duties will include:
  • Installation and maintenance of aerial telecommunications cables
  • Safe operation of hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, and climbing gear
  • Utilization of mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks and excavators
  • Establishing safety perimeters with appropriate signage and barriers
  • Flagging traffic as necessary
  • Understanding and adhering to separation and clearance regulations
  • Working at heights using climbing equipment
  • Flexibility to work in various locations

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination
  • Valid driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred)
  • Acceptable MVR record
  • Knowledge of aerial cable installation techniques
  • Previous experience in construction, preferably within the telecommunications field

Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates will also possess:
  • Experience with splicing both active and passive equipment
  • Capability to perform various telecommunications construction tasks, including pole transfers and cable installation
  • Physical stamina to climb poles and work outdoors in varying conditions

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $25.00-$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
