Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Principal to join our team at Charter Schools USA. The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to our school community, ensuring the effective operation of the school and promoting the educational development of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Educational Leadership
    • Assist the principal in establishing and maintaining a positive learning climate in the school.
    • Support the principal in the overall administration of the school, including the design and implementation of programs to meet the specific needs of the school and its students.
    • Facilitate and evaluate the instructional program in assigned departments to maximize student progress.
    • Assist the principal in acquiring and utilizing instructional supplies, equipment, and textbooks for the school.
  • School Operations
    • Assist the principal in overseeing the facility and grounds of the assigned school and making recommendations about short-range and long-range needs.
    • Support the principal in conducting an ongoing assessment of the educational program in the assigned school, including the analysis of test results, attendance records, and discipline reports.
  • Human Resources
    • Assist the principal in recruiting, screening, and recommending school staff, ensuring compliance with certification guidelines.
    • Support the principal in disciplinary actions, coaching, and counseling, as well as exit interviews and performance appraisals.
  • Communications
    • Assist the principal in promoting ongoing, two-way communications with relevant audiences to enhance the educational program provided by the school.
Requirements
  • Master's degree (MA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
  • Professional Certification in Educational Leadership in Applicable State.
  • Two to five years relevant experience (in school administration preferred) and/or training.
  • Experience in student instruction.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful results of criminal and employment background check.

  • Agility and ability to quickly move in a school environment where children are present.
