Pediatric Telephone Triage Nurse

Wilmington, Delaware, United States Nemours Foundation Full time

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an experienced pediatric telephone triage nurse to support our primary care practices in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Florida. This is a casual, fully remote position that is self-scheduled and requires one shift every other weekend and two holidays per year. The Triage Nurse role provides primary care patients with telephone access to a highly skilled and trained registered nurse who accurately answers their questions and addresses their medical concerns during hours when the primary care offices are closed. The nurse will provide first-line response to patient questions and concerns, escalating to the primary care on-call physician when necessary. To ensure continuity of care, the nurse will communicate the patient's condition and plan of care to other health team members. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of pediatric care, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. The nurse will be responsible for answering patient calls, assessing their medical concerns, and providing guidance and support as needed. The nurse will also be responsible for documenting patient interactions and communicating with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care. If you are a registered nurse with a passion for pediatric care and a desire to work in a remote setting, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
