About the Role

Darigold Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Manager to join our team. As a key business partner with the Operations team, you will serve as the financial lead for our manufacturing plant in Pasco, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans to support the plant's growth and profitability goals.
  • Cost Control and Optimization: Evaluate and develop internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of plant activity, including production, shipments, plant expenses, and inventory adjustments.
  • General Accounting: Ensure compliance with Darigold policies and procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide monthly journal entries, overhead analysis, and reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Lead efforts to document processes and procedures, standardize, and reduce duplicative processes.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects as part of the Corporate Finance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (e.g., Finance, Business) OR equivalent level progressive Accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of standard cost accounting and its implications in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and design of internal controls.
  • High degree of initiative and flexibility.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with an analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel.
