Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Per Diem MedSurg team at Long Island Community Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient health data to inform care decisions.
  • Perform initial assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Current New York State license or permit as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Analytical ability to assess and develop solutions to clinical situations.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of a two-year training at an accredited School of Nursing.
