Job Overview:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the New York State Department of Health's Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) initiatives at Riverview Center.

At General Dynamics Information Technology, you will have the opportunity to contribute to significant projects and advance your career in a meaningful way.

Your responsibilities will include acting as a key project scheduler, serving as a vital link between project managers and functional managers.

You will oversee project timelines, evaluate project statuses, and develop solutions to address project challenges while meeting productivity, quality, and client satisfaction objectives.

Active monitoring of project advancement with a focus on problem resolution will be essential.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate closely with functional managers to create and sustain detailed resource-loaded project schedules utilizing MS Project.
• Generate and maintain summary-level schedule reports, including Gantt charts, milestone charts, and other program management tools to facilitate critical path analysis and resource allocation.
• Assist the metrics team in planning, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on projects/programs.
• Adhere to schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures.
• Work alongside project managers to enhance efficiency in project execution and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Estimate and update schedules for new and ongoing work.
• Identify key milestones, decision points, project lifecycle stages, and other significant project events.
• Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling issues.
• Create, analyze, and present weekly metrics to Project Managers and PMO Manager.
• Prepare SLIM scheduling reports.
• Maintain precise records and documentation.
• Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews.
• Be prepared to work outside of standard business hours as necessary to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Management Information Systems or a related field.

Required Technical Skills:
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in metrics data analysis.
• Familiarity with the management, operational, and technical aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Previous experience in collecting, analyzing, and presenting measurable performance metrics.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced software development environment.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Experience in Medicaid or Healthcare Processing Systems is preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $52,603 - $64,400, subject to adjustment based on experience and geographic location.
