Responsibilities
This role involves working on various generator types and sizes, ensuring electrical components operate efficiently and safely. Key responsibilities include:
  • Installing and wiring electrical components according to project specifications and electrical codes.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless integration of generators into existing electrical systems.
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits to ensure proper functionality.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on generators to identify and address potential issues.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical problems, including issues with wiring, controls, and other electrical components.
  • Performing load bank testing and diagnostic procedures to verify generator performance.
  • Adhering to electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations in all work activities.
  • Implementing safety measures during installation, maintenance, and repair processes.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
  • A valid electrician's license required, master preferred.
  • 3+ years of residential Electric or Generator installation experience; NCEER Certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Basic mechanical and pipe fitting experience beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
