Work Schedule:
Full-time position, 40 hours per week. Shifts are from Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Role Overview:
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will conduct and assess intricate laboratory tests across various clinical laboratory sectors. This role demands proficiency in operating and comprehending complex precision instruments and a range of automated and electronic devices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working independently while demonstrating the ability to identify issues and effectively troubleshoot.
- Serving as a key operator for multiple instruments, assisting supervisors with training, advanced maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Contributing to the development and modification of procedures and programs to ensure test accuracy.
- Executing all necessary Quality Control procedures, accurately documenting results, and appropriately addressing any outliers.
- Alerting supervisors to any unusual or unexpected results and documenting all existing or potential issues using the appropriate laboratory and hospital forms.
- Reporting critical values to the designated personnel and completing the required documentation.
- Adhering to all organizational, departmental, and section policies, including Universal Precautions, Fire Safety, QA documentation, and Hazardous Waste protocols.

Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in a hospital laboratory
- Baccalaureate Degree in a Science field required
- Must be CLIA eligible for High Complexity Testing
- MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
