Position Overview

Compensation: $23.18 per hour (based on experience)

  • Employment Type: Full Time - Regular
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM), Friday (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
  • Additional Compensation: 5% pay increase for bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

The Senior Crew Leader will focus on managing fuel reduction initiatives by supervising small teams of work experience participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate site operations for participants and volunteers.
  • Deliver on-site training and provide technical support.
  • Manage inventory of supplies, procure necessary equipment, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and monitor reports on job progress and completion.
  • Engage and educate community members regarding work activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols for all operational activities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess experience in wildland fire management and fuel reduction programs.

Essential Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of three years of relevant practical experience in vocational education, construction, natural resource management, community development, or public health; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. A valid driver's license, minimum liability auto insurance, and a clean driving record are required for vehicle operation related to agency duties.
