Cloud Security Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at blueStone Staffing Solutions. As a key player in protecting our organization's sensitive data and infrastructure within the cloud environment, you will design, implement, and maintain solid security measures to defend against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and definition of our cloud security posture, enabling cyber resilience and implementing various zero trust initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security controls for cloud-hosted infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Carry out regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks, and automate cloud security controls to minimize threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements relating to cloud engineering.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Remain updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cloud security practices.
  • Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team to enhance the overall reliability and security of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Work with teams and stakeholders across SitusAMC to address security concerns in the cloud.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college/university, or equivalent job experience.
  • A seasoned professional with 5+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically at a Senior Analyst or Analyst level role or external equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of direct relevant work experience in cloud security engineering or a similar role.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or similar are preferred but not required.
