We are looking for an Advanced Pharmacy Technician to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient patient care. If you share our passion for patient-centered service, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Advanced Pharmacy Technician, your duties will include:
- Assisting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications, managing drug inventory, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Preparing IVs, IVPBs, and chemotherapy medications with precision and adhering to aseptic techniques while managing workflow in the IV room.
- Accurately selecting, charging, and preparing medications for patients and ensuring timely delivery.
- Conducting necessary monitoring and documentation for assigned tasks, including temperature logs and medication checks.
- Supporting inventory management of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of six months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting.
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or a Pharmacy Intern License.
- Preferred certification in Sterile Products (IV) through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
