About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating nuclear medicine equipment and performing diagnostic procedures to provide accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radioactive drugs to patients and monitor their systems using nuclear medicine equipment.
  • Ensure proper stocking, safekeeping, and discarding of radioactive drugs or pharmaceuticals in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients, family, and staff.
  • Follow organizational standards for patient identification, education, consents, and order verification, as well as infection control.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control procedures, including processes involving nuclear medicine equipment, image quality, documentation, and radioisotope reporting and control.
Requirements
  • New York State Department of Health licensure and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Preferred: NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board.
  • 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 2 years as a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and New York State License-Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
