Senior Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced Senior Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist to join our team at 600 Hospital Drive. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiographic exams that utilize ionizing radiation while providing protection for all patients using ALARA principles. Additionally, they will supervise staff technologists in the correct use of radiation-producing equipment and perform invasive procedures and exams requiring the use of contrast agents under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Patient Care: Participate in activities that ensure quality patient care, adhering to principles of infection control and demonstrating proper application of medication administration principles.
- Radiation Safety: Perform safety/control checks on department equipment as per department standards and wear radiation film badge at all times while in work status.
- Effective Communication: Explain procedures to patients, ensure proper consent forms are signed, and provide age-appropriate care.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to customer service. You should also have the ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
