About the Job:
This Travel Registered Nurse position is currently available in Edmonds, Washington. The ideal candidate will have a current RN license in Washington State, with 2 years of experience in a PCU or IMCU setting.
Work Environment:
The nurse will be working at the Swedish Edmonds Campus, a renowned healthcare facility in the region. The hospital offers a dynamic and challenging environment for nurses to develop their skills and advance their careers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a PCU/IMCU setting
- Manage patients with respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, renal issues, and mixed telemetry and intermediate care unit conditions
- Perform special procedures such as pre/post cardiac cath, BiPAP, CPAP, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, and obtaining 12-lead EKGs
- Administer blood products, procedural sedation, and chest tube management
- Manage tracheostomy care and operate special equipment such as beta blockers, Cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, insulin, levophed, magnesium sulfate, milrinone, nitroglycerin, and norepinephrine
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in Washington State
- Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU or IMCU setting
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
Additional Information:
- 40 hours of orientation required
- Previous employees of related health systems must be separated for at least 3 months to qualify for travel contracts
- Float within scope of practice as needed
Estimated Salary:
$2303.44 per week
