Position Overview:

Olgoonik Corporation is in search of a Construction Superintendent to lead and manage environmental construction initiatives. This role will be pivotal in overseeing field operations, managing subcontractors, and coordinating project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor on-site labor hours and maintain project timelines, assessing the necessary materials, equipment, and workforce.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to address evolving project requirements, scheduling conflicts, subcontractor challenges, and other construction-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations on-site, promptly reporting any concerns to the Project Manager and Site Safety Officer.
  • Supervise and coordinate all field activities for assigned mid to large-scale construction projects.
  • Plan and organize field operations, overseeing project teams to guarantee safety, quality, efficiency, and effective communication.
  • Identify and communicate site conditions that may affect quality, costs, or schedules.
  • Work in conjunction with the Contractor Quality Control Officer and Site Safety Health Officer to drive project success.
Supervisory Duties:

Direct and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in construction tasks.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, particularly in overseeing mid to large-scale projects. Experience with Department of Defense projects is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related technical field is preferred, though extensive experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Proven experience and training in construction methods, techniques, and supervisory roles are essential.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to plan, allocate resources, manage production, and coordinate personnel and equipment effectively. Strong skills in coordination, time management, active listening, and both oral and written communication are required.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and management principles.
  • Proficient in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions promptly.
  • Good judgment in executing responsibilities and maintaining positive relationships with project stakeholders and team members.
  • Basic capability to interpret and apply information from blueprints, surveys, and job specifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
Certifications:

OSHA 40 Certification is required.

Security Clearance:

Must successfully complete a government-administered background investigation.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position require the ability to stand, walk, sit, handle tools, operate vehicles, and navigate various terrains. Fieldwork will involve physically demanding tasks and may require working in diverse weather conditions.

Work Environment:

This position involves extensive travel to various field locations, primarily supporting projects across multiple states. Fieldwork may require working in both indoor and outdoor settings under varying weather conditions.

Salary range is competitive and commensurate with experience.
