Position Summary

The primary role of the Patient Services Coordinator is to ensure exceptional patient-focused service while supporting IBJI staff and partners in administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at the front desk.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Uphold the core values of IBJI in all interactions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Implement best practices for front office operations.
  • Stay informed about current policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize efficient strategies for task completion.
  • Promote a team-oriented approach in all activities.

Daily Duties Include

  • Welcoming patients warmly upon arrival.
  • Answering phone calls using the established greeting protocol.
  • Managing patient appointment scheduling and documentation.
  • Collecting payments at the time of service.
  • Providing new patients with clear explanations of insurance benefits and therapy costs.
  • Assisting in resolving patient account issues.
  • Performing clerical tasks such as scanning and faxing.
  • Supporting the Patient Services Manager and other staff as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in EMR software, Microsoft Office, and general computer use.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Frequent standing and sitting throughout the workday.
  • Regular use of a computer and office equipment.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced professional office setting.
  • Routine use of standard office equipment.
  • Varied work hours, including opening and closing shifts.
