The Production Process Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing operations. This position involves collaborating with a team of engineers to design, implement, and refine production methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist machine operators in resolving equipment issues, performing recoveries, and executing setups.
  • Document modifications to processes to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Maintain essential engineering documentation, including control plans and tool inventories.
  • Identify and rectify the root causes of defective components.

Team Interaction:

This role requires a balance of independent work and collaboration within a team of engineers.

Work Environment:

The position is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, with an expectation of spending approximately 50% of the time on the production floor.

Education & Experience:

A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Candidates with over 10 years of experience without a degree will also be considered.

Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Proficiency in CNC machining.
  • Ability to indicate tools and parts accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Desired:

  • Experience in G-code programming.
  • Familiarity with precision grinding and honing techniques.
  • Knowledge of CAM software.

Soft Skills:

Required:

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Possesses situational awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Effective listening skills and the ability to follow directions.
  • Willingness to seek assistance when needed.
