  • Compile and evaluate demographic studies to understand enrollment trends across schools and districts.
  • Contribute to the development of written materials that enhance access to demographic insights for stakeholders.
  • Analyze attendance zone proposals and their implications for future school construction planning.
  • Address inquiries regarding zoning and enrollment data, including demographic and geographic considerations.
  • Participate in field surveys to gather demographic data and assess classroom capacity needs.
  • Maintain and update zone grid maps to delineate school locations and district boundaries.
  • Ensure quality control of maps and documentation.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:

Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in research, mapping, or data analysis related to demographics, urban planning, statistics, or geography.
  • Preferred experience in analyzing school or enrollment data.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in urban planning, mathematics, geography, economics, or a related field.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and software such as ArcGIS10.
  • Understanding of mapping principles and cartographic techniques.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and graphic presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of best practices and terminology in demographic research.
