Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at HCM Staffing and Consulting Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing drafting and design support for radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed CAD models of parts and assemblies in support of new product design and development.
  • Generate high-quality documentation, drawings, and layouts in support of new product design and development.
  • Prepare and implement Engineering Change Orders to maintain engineering documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate drawing changes and updates into existing product documentation.
  • Design and create supporting illustrations and documentation for product assembly fixtures, procedures, and proposals.
  • Perform Document Control functions, including distribution of Engineering Change Orders and Controlled Prints, and recall of obsolete documents.
  • Contribute to the development of new product designs and engineering solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD design software (Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) or similar CAD applications.
  • Excellent spatial reasoning and ability to create accurate 3D models and assemblies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices and Mil Specification and Standards.
  • US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical design concepts, particularly machined enclosures for electronics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interface with internal and external customers.
  • Associates Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
