Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Coordinator to join our team at Shearer's Foods. As a Sanitation Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in our production and non-production areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety guidelines.
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including power washers and forklifts, to ensure thorough cleaning of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct visual inspections and ATP swabbing to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in training and directing task organization, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial services.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to high temperatures, fumes, and airborne particles.
  • General mathematical ability and learning, memorizing, and executing a sequence of procedures.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and judgment and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to drive forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift and pass certification exam.
  • Physical Specifications: Must be comfortable lifting up to 100 pounds, pushing & pulling up to 300 pounds, continuous standing/walking/bending/stooping/carrying/lifting/pushing/pulling, frequently climbing and reaching above shoulder level, work in hot or cool environments, working on extremely slippery surfaces.
