Aspen Medical is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to deliver essential medical services to UN-sponsored personnel and US Government staff in a field hospital setting. This role involves a rotational contract with a schedule of three months on duty followed by one month off.
Work EnvironmentThe successful candidate will operate from a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility, ensuring all medical services are conducted within this controlled environment. Comprehensive support services will be provided, including accommodation, meals, internet access, and other necessary resources.
Medical Services ProvidedAspen Medical will establish a Level 2 Field Hospital equipped with Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic, and Laboratory services, all adhering to US clinical standards and compliance protocols.
QualificationsCitizenship:
- All applicants must be US citizens or Green Card holders.
- Sponsorship is not available.
Education:
- A Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Clinical Medicine and Community Health, or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific or medical field, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Certification:
- Certification requirements will align with the candidate's country of licensure.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) are mandatory.
Licensure:
- Must hold a valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in their home country or another UN member state.
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in the designated specialty is required.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in a secondary language is preferred.
English Proficiency:
- A minimum proficiency level of B2 is required.
This position operates on a 1099 contractor basis, with a fixed daily rate during active duty periods. Compensation will not be provided during off-duty rotations.
