Powers Controls Technician Job Description

At Powers, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional HVAC solutions to our customers. As a Controls Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers' comfort and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and service HVAC controls systems in commercial establishments
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
  • Organize work and meet deadlines while working individually or as part of a team
  • Check the proper operation of building controls
  • Work with various control systems, including Siemens, Talon, Delta, KMC, JCI, Distech, and Honeywell
Requirements:
  • Exceptional customer relations and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn more detailed operation
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to pay attention to minute details
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Responsible and accountable for one's conduct
Preferred Skills:
  • 1+ years' experience in electrical and/or HVAC controls/installations
  • Understanding of Building Automation Software (BAS)
