Job Description

This position is a critical component of our organization's security program, requiring a high level of expertise and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security clearance process is conducted in accordance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and conduct extensive background investigations, including FBI index checks and arrest record checks, to gather pertinent information for security clearance determinations.
  • Coordinate the submission of investigative reports and correspondence to ensure compliance with administrative requirements and FBI regulations.
  • Review and analyze investigative reports to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for clearance approval, denial, or revocation.
  • Develop and implement new and revised rules, regulations, and guidelines for personnel security programs, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in achieving programmatic goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and other stakeholders on security-related matters, including security briefings and awareness training.
  • Stay up-to-date with new methods and procedures for passing and affirming clearances, including SCI/Regulations, FISs, and DOJ Orders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure the security program is fully integrated and aligned with current threat intelligence.
Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret US Government Clearance required.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field.
  • Bachelor's Degree with seven (7) years' experience or Associate's Degree with nine (9) years' experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing and writing Reports of Investigation.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Federal LE and IC IT systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to conduct interviews and security briefings.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in any field of study.
  • Knowledge of DOJ and FBI regulations regarding personnel security process.
  • Experience conducting interviews and security briefings, discussing analysis and opinion in a concise and logical manner.
  • Previous experience in security leadership role.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work in a traditional office environment, with occasional need to stand, walk, and use office equipment.
Work Environment:
  • This position is performed in a traditional office environment.
