Dietitian II

As a Registered Dietitian II at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide high-quality nutrition education and clinical services to our members. This role involves upholding our organization's policies and procedures, as well as participating in establishing departmental strategic goals and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess member needs, establish priorities, and design, develop, recommend, update, implement, and evaluate programs, curriculum, materials, protocols, procedures, and standards for health and nutrition education.
2. Implement nutrition care plans, including follow-up and referrals to government, community, and/or other Kaiser Permanente facilities for continuity of nutrition care.
3. Educate and counsel members, family, and caregivers regarding health and nutrition on an individual or group setting.
4. Develop meal plans to meet members' lifestyle, socio-economic background, age, culture, diagnosis, and religious affiliation.
5. Consult and educate physicians and other healthcare providers regarding member and population-specific nutrition and health-related issues.
6. Participate in multidisciplinary care teams and committees.
7. Collect data, plan, prepare, and implement reports for performance improvement and/or quality assurance audits.
8. Develop grants and proposals for health and nutrition programs.
9. Plan, conduct, and evaluate in-service education programs for department staff, multidisciplinary care teams, and physicians.
Additional Requirements:
1. Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD), as confirmed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
2. Demonstrates working knowledge of mainframe and personal computing systems.
3. Demonstrates highly effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communications.
4. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership Environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous individual, small group, and large group/classroom training/teaching experience.

This role will require floating between locations.
