Job Overview

The Swift Group is seeking a dedicated Information Security Project Engineer to assist in the evaluation and authorization processes, ensuring compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role involves timely modifications, development, deployment, and management of security accreditation tasks across various IT platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all modifications to security plans as necessary, particularly in response to architectural changes within the client's data environment throughout the contract period.
  • Conduct or review technical security evaluations of computing environments to pinpoint vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze and verify system security requirements, establishing robust system security designs.
  • Design, develop, implement, and integrate Internal Audit and security systems, including components for networking, computing, and environments with multiple enclaves and varying data protection needs.
  • Incorporate Internal Audit processes into systems deployed in operational settings.
  • Collaborate with architects and system developers to identify and implement necessary information security functionalities, ensuring consistent application of security policies and enterprise solutions.
  • Assist in constructing security architectures.
  • Ensure the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
  • Evaluate and mitigate security threats and risks throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness initiatives for system and networking operations.
  • Review documentation related to assessment and authorization, providing feedback on its completeness and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Information Systems Security Engineering.
  • Proven experience in all lifecycle assessment and authorization activities.
  • Ability to translate mission/user requirements into technical specifications and demonstrate how technical solutions achieve mission objectives.
  • Experience prioritizing tasks based on mission requirements.
  • Collaboration with application developers to determine and implement infrastructure and deployment needs.
  • Technical understanding of modern web and mobile application architectures, including components such as DNS, HTTP, TLS, and TCP/IP.
  • High School diploma.
  • US citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is mandatory.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Experience with the client's assessment and authorization processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with the client's operations.
  • Experience with the client's specialized platforms.
  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience with multiple cloud service providers.
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages.
