Machinery Repairman Instructor

Prevailance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinery Repairman Contractor Instructor to support the Surface Warfare Engineering Schools Command (SWESC) and PMS 339 Specialized Engineering. The successful candidate will provide instruction, operation, testing, remediation, curriculum support, administration, safety, and management support services for formalized naval training.

• Prepare classrooms, workstations, and labs for instruction, ensuring all equipment is set up and instructional materials are available.
• Perform operational checks of training equipment, devices, and aids, noting deficiencies and submitting recommendations to the Technical Advisor and Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Maintain an inventory of instructional materials and student forms, reporting discrepancies to the relevant authorities.
• Support the development and maintenance of curriculum, including updates and improvements as needed.

• A graduate of the Navy Instructor Training Course (CIN: A NEC 9502) or equivalent instructor training course.
• A minimum of three years of technical experience in the subject matter to be instructed.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a Military Training Environment.
• Knowledge of learning principles, practices, and methods of presentation and delivery of course content, testing, and remediation procedures.

• Former Senior (E5 – E9) Surface Ship Machinery Repairman (MR).
• Comprehensive knowledge in the area of safety, operation, and maintenance of heavy machinery tooling shipboard, precision grinding, and advanced milling tools and techniques.
