Occupational Therapist Job Description

Sevita is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals with brain, spinal cord, and medically complex injuries, illnesses, and other challenges to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and develop effective treatment plans for individuals served.
  • Administer treatment programs and communicate treatment needs to staff.
  • Provide re-evaluation, programmatic changes, and effectively manage a caseload.
  • Set up home exercise programs and perform home evaluations.
  • Maintain documentation, including reports of services and weekly schedules to meet therapy goals.
  • Serve on rehabilitation treatment teams, including meetings, conferences, and departmental meetings for program development.
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, professionals, paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources to ensure effectiveness of occupational therapy programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and one year of human services experience.
  • One year of experience in Neuro-rehabilitation preferred.
  • Must be licensed OT in the state and a member in good standing with the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
  • Effective communication skills.
