Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fresno County, CA. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitative therapy to clients who are physically or neurologically disabled by illness, injury, or genetic impairment.

Your primary responsibility will be to plan and perform occupational therapy for neurologically and physically impaired clients at California Children's Services Medical Therapy Unit sites, which are located in local public schools.

You will be responsible for developing or improving physical skills, restoring muscle function, maintaining maximum performance within the client's capabilities, and improving the level of Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform occupational therapy for neurologically and physically impaired clients
  • Develop or improve physical skills, restore muscle function, and maintain maximum performance
  • Improve the level of Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills and productivity
  • Work with clients to achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life
Requirements
  • Valid license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Occupational Therapy
  • One (1) year of full-time, paid work experience equivalent to that gained as an Occupational Therapist with the County of Fresno
  • Valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent
