We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society's Prairie Center in Miller, SD. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the well-being of our residents.
Job SummaryThe LPN provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working effectively with healthcare professionals, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
- Administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans
- Develop a self-care program for residents
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
