Nursing Care Specialist/On-Call/PAV H 7 Main / 5.200 Neurology

This role is part of the Neuroscience Services team at the University of Kentucky, working closely with Registered Nurses to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain vital signs and perform phlebotomy procedures.
  • Document patient information and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
  • Respond to patient call lights and provide unit orientation and support.
  • Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
Requirements:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • No prior experience is necessary, but a valid Kentucky State Registered Nursing Certificate (SRNA) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull 25-50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
Work Environment:

This role requires working a variety of day, evening, and night shifts, with at least 36 hours per month. Some weekends and holidays may be required.
